| Jim Berry is Sports Director for WFOR/CBS4, Miami. He has won five Emmys for sports reporting and writing and started his career as a news reporter at WBTV in Charlotte, NC. Mindy Welch is Vice President, Welch Creative Group who consults television stations nationwide, including WEWS, Cleveland, WRAL, Raleigh and WFOR, Miami. She came to Miami in 1980 to work on PM Magazine for WTVJ. Glen Eklund manages all commercial production at WPLG Local 10 in Miami. Starting in 1975 he worked his way at WTVJ from floor crew to director’s chair. He has won Emmys at WPLG for Sports Jam Live and WPLG’s coverage of The Ft. Lauderdale Air and Sea Show. Jeanne Eklund has been a beacon of light for women who aspire to work in the technical side of television. Her career started in 1966 and she has performed all production jobs from floor crew to director. Over the years, she has worked to get women hired and trained in control room work. Jack Kahn is Director of Program Development for Nightly Business Report’s parent organization, NBR Enterprises/WPBT, Miami. Now in his 28th year with the NBR production staff, Jack was on the original team that created Nightly Business Report in 1979. Mike Zimmer is Chief Photographer at WTVJ/NBC6. He started his career in 1980 as an intern in the WTVJ Sports Department. He is a six-time Emmy award winner and the recipient of the prestigious George Foster Peabody and Alfred I. DuPont Awards.
